Preserve Empathy

With a sincere passion for preservation, process, and research, I am driven to create experiences that can last lifetimes. Uncovering insights is a continuous process of discovery and learning, allowing me to apply both scientific principles and creative thinking to design interfaces that are intuitive and engaging.

Connecting Communities

Welcome to my portfolio! I’m Laura, an archivist, librarian, and UXer in the Washington, D.C. area.

I came to the user experience and information architecture field through my passion for connecting people with information and resources. My background is in writing, research, digital collections, and library science. All have contributed to my passion for making information more accessible. When working with clients I often wonder: how can we better connect you to what you need?

Enhancing information architecture is often the answer. The path to get there is the fun part.

As a user experience practitioner with a background in archives, I’ve selected several examples of my work that utilized UX methods and processes. Browse my work and feel free to provide any feedback. I appreciate any time you can spare!

I’m available for work! Let me know if you feel like I’m a good fit for your team or projects.
